Great to hear, Ellis! It sounds like you are in a good vibe with your habits!
Re: Ellis tries again!
Thanks all!
Another green week, but with 1 NW S-day on Monday. Initially, I didn’t want to make it an S-day, but it was a work trip and I had no idea what to expect food-wise.
That morning I had a stomach ache and decided to skip breakfast. At the location, we were served cake, and I felt lots of pressure to say no, so I decided to just enjoy the piece, luckily my stomach ache was over. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that great of a cake, so I immediately regretted it.
Lunch was very disappointing too, and I got home so late in the evening that I ended up eating leftover pancakes. Not really S-day worthy, except for the pancakes, haha.
The rest of the week went well, still had a couple of heavier meals and ordered in once, but I did my best to keep portions small. To my delight, I had lost a little bit of weight this morning. It always goes slowly for me, but there is progress!
Work is really chaotic, and a team member was unexpectedly let go, which definitely had an impact.
Despite the stress, I didn’t have any red days because of it. I’m looking forward to my S-days, and I’m going to try to eat more mindfully. I find the hunger scale really helpful! Before a meal, you choose where you are on the hunger scale, and after eating, you pick the number that reflects how full you feel. I’m hoping this will help me avoid overeating. Very curious to see how it goes!

Well done on your loss and a successful week.
The hunger scale is worthy of attention, let us know how you get on.

Re: Ellis tries again!
You get extra bonus points for staying green despite all the work stress!
Re: Ellis tries again!
Thanks, Soprano, for the support!
Amy, thanks for the bonus points, I was definitely very proud!
Today is a red day, but I’m quite proud that I didn’t act on the WTH mindset. The thought of taking advantage of this day crossed my mind briefly, but I didn’t really feel the need.
It was a tiring day, but the morning went well. My protein shake keeps me full, and yet I still overate a bit during the shared lunch at the office. Everything is right there in front of me, and it tasted good. I ate a bit more than usual. But aside from that, I stuck to my diet plan — had the dinner I planned and nothing extra. So actually, quite a successful red day, haha. Mark it and move on!
I weighed myself today and I was heavier than last Wednesday, and that affected me. I’m really trying to let it go, but something in me keeps saying this isn’t working and that I should switch to another diet. But I don’t want to.

Hey
Well done on your red day, you really held it together.
Do you weigh every day?

Re: Ellis tries again!
Hi Ellis - You are doing wonderfully well, especially with (not in spite of!) your red day. Well done on avoiding the WTH quicksand! That is a fantastic victory and pride in that accomplishment should absolutely swamp any disappointment you feel about a technically red day. I know weighing slightly more than last week feels discouraging but I'm sure it will be only a temporary bump, given that you're focusing on sticking to good and healthful habits. You can do it! Wishing you all the best, WINhappy

Good job on your red day! Progress, not perfection...
