Are all these posts from 2010?

Post by totljenn »

Am I crazy or are all these posts super old. I started reading a thread that came about because people wanted more control on their S days, but when I got to the bottom and wanted to join in I saw that the last post was from 2010. Needless to say I didn't post anything because I thought the thread was dead. Is anyone else experiencing this?

On any forum you'll find lots of really old threads the first time you visit. There are more recent posts, and you can find the date of the last post in a thread in the right-hand column.

This board went up in 2005 (and there was an even older yahoo group that goes back to 2002) so there's some deep history (by web standards) here. I like to think of that as a positive thing -- but I guess if you wander into some dusty corner and think that's all there is it can be a little off-putting.

Sometimes people purposely post to an old thread because they want to revive the topic. The old posters might be gone and new people may benefit.
