Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.
Good for you! We've ALL had to recite the same chant at times. I've walked into the kitchen at night and had to do a 180 in my socks. But I tell myself that it's just a little while 'til my next real meal. I NEVER had that luxury with other plans -- Weight Watchers & LA Weight Loss included.
Funny Stuff - yeaterday was pretty normal and uneventful. I have replaced my evening snack with a fruit. Usually i would have some chips etc but now i am having a fruit.. and i have noticed that i am more full than earlier.
Nothing significant except that i am surprised at the 3 day progress. for me tomorrow is an S day - because its weekend here .... yesterday i went to a shop and DH was askign me if i want to eat this and eat that - and i was refusing - because it was a sweet or snack. Finally i got fruit juice because there were no fruits at home.
I am now getting the hang of it - so will start working towards reducing my "Generous" first servings - but i will do it really slowly . am in no hurry.
I ate chochlate and also ate ice cream. i prepared some spl traditional dishes at home for lunch so had second helpings as well. Yesterday night me and DH went out for chinese dinner. I had a feast. I guess i won't be this celebrating all the time but this is the first S cycle so i forgive myself. Next week onwards i will be more vigilant even during the S days.
What I Did:
I had veg burger and fries after taking my pay - so i skipped dinner and had butter milk. Well so i thought salary day is actually an S day.
Funny Stuff: I was fine the whole day - in the evening we went grocery shopping and i got tempted and had an icecream.
then i realized - if i would have waited for just 12 hrs- it was my S-day - but the damage is already done - so i guess i have to be more in control of what i buy myself.
Funny Stuff: It was a routine thing yesterday - except i felt very strongly to eat something between the fruit and dinner - but i managed.. peeked into the kitchen and nibbled on some boiled veggies... which were being made for the dinner.. but overally it was fine.
PS: i have bought some ginseng coffee it helps regulate bowel movements. PPl around me are giving great testimonials abt it so am checking it out. It tastes Yummy though
Funny Stuff: I was sick btu felt like eating - this happens iwth me - when i am sick i look for comfort food.
I ate Sub - 6 " for dinner- since i am a vegetarian i are it with Paneer. But anyways am takign medicines and will resume this probably from Saturday because my S days are round the corner.
Funny Stuff:The antibiotics make me feel really hungry - ate like a pig. Shall stop myself from tomorrow.Hope it goes smoother. This weekend i plant to do No S days.. because i got them here.
I dunno... I think you should leave your weekend S days alone, personally. Otherwise it's like you taking revenge on yourself for getting sick, which just isn't the right mental frame to be doing this in.
