New server for everydaysystems sites

Post by reinhard »

It's faster (and cheaper), but email seems to be broken.

Let me know if you noticed anything else.

every time I post a 'reply' - I get the following message come up - but the post is OK. It's doing it on my thread on the Daily Check In forum, but didn't when I posted this here

"Failed sending email :: PHP ::

Yes, that's exactly the issue I saw. Anytime someone has registered to be alerted by email about updates to a topic it'll happen. I will figure this out tonight or tomorrow.

8) ah, thanks for the explanation - I couldn't figure out why it happened on some threads and not on others: Having said that - I haven't asked for email notifications (and I don't get email notifications) on my own thread, but it happens there?

Yes, as long as *someone* has hit "notify me when a reply is posted" you'll see that error (but hopefully not for much longer).

I just posted on my own daily update thread and got a different error message:

"An error occurred.

Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable.
Please try again later.

If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details.

Faithfully yours, nginx."

I opened Everday Systems in a new tab and the message had been posted though.

can't update my HabitCal

Post by RAWCOOKIE »

As from yesterday, I've been unable to save the changes on my HabitCal - I've tried every which way. In the end I saved the sheet to my desktop so I have a record - but it won't update my HabitCal.

I'm having the same experience with my HabitCal. I'm using Chrome as my browser, if that makes any difference.

I see the issue and should have a fix shortly (side effect of another long overdue improvement, moving the everydaysystems site to secure https instead of http).

Thanks for letting me know and sorry for the inconvenience!

Habitcal issue should be fixed now -- let me know if you're still having trouble.

I haven't forgotten about the slow posting either. I'm still seeing a minute plus slowness sporadically (though the posts do successfully go through).

HabitCal is fixed - well done Reinhard :D

The slow posting is weird - it shows that it's 'connecting' etc - but it's already done it. Think that's why people are getting double/treble posts - they keep clicking again. I've been copying my posts to my clipboard, then checking to see it it's there - it always is even though it says it's still loading.
