Several conversations on this board have gotten me to thinking about reasons for doing No S other than weight loss. I know a lot of this is in the book, but it's good to unpack those reasons, shake them out and take a look to see how they fit us.
So these are mine:
It's a sensible and sane way to relate to food, leaving me the emotional energy to do other things.
It requires me to be an adult, trusting me with the specifics to make good choices. I appreciate the hat tip of respect.
I enjoy food a lot more!
It seems to attract an especially high class of adherent.
