The 2009 "during" is here!

Post by reinhard »

Just three months late :-)

You'll understand when you see it why I was reluctant to post it... shocking reduction of facial hair.

http://www.nosdiet.com/beforeafter.html

My older daughter (not pictured) is still very unhappy with the situation and keeps pleading with me to "stop shaving, daddy!" But the post pubescent women in my life seem to prefer me beardless so that's probably the way I'm going to stay.

Now that I've got 7 years of photos on the page, it's getting a little unwieldy with the horizontal scrolling.... expect a redesign some time in 2010. Anyway, nice to have reached the point at which my before-during diet page has "scalability" issues. :-)

Looking good! :) I think you look handsome with or without facial hair, though every man looks years younger without it lol.

Looking great!

For the first 25+ years I knew him, my ex-hubby had facial hair. I'm not sure why he got rid of it, but he did. It's still a shock for me to see him sans facial hair. Our girls were adults when he got rid of it and they're still shocked by the absence as well.

Reinhard! You look great, but hahah I really don't recognise you without your beard

Maybe Karen will let you grow it back if the kids keep saying "where's Daddy??"

Anyway, you look amazing!

My opinion after reviewing your pics:
Great body.
Love the no-beard look.
You look handsome and younger without the facial hair.

Yes, you do look great, and junior daughter is thoroughly adorable - as no doubt is senior daughter.

I see a lot of happiness in these pictures..a family involved with the "goings-on' of each other! Wonderful!! I loved the props..each photo tells its own little story, doesn't it? You are a son any Mom would be proud to call her own!! Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with all of us.

I'm missing out! My link takes me to pics, but they stop at 2005. Anyway, glad to know you're still at it. When I talk to people about No S, I tell them the founder's been living this way since 2001. It gives me the confidence to "sell" it before I'm a before and during example that anyone would pay attention to.

Great pictures, Reinhard! Personally, I l like a bit of facial hair on guys but I agree with those who say you look younger without it. It's very inspirational that you've kept the weight off for so many years, not to mention a compelling testimonial for No S and your fitness systems.

Your family is adorable! Also love that you have Jabba in one of your pictures :)

I thought the same thing, but you have to scroll horizontally.

Thanks for the info about scrolling horizontally. I'd say those pics continue to be good selling points. Rock on, Reinhard!

You're all very kind.

I guess I'm finally reaching the age when it's desirable to look younger. :-)

I'll try to get my older daughter in the 2010 (yes, she's every bit as adorable as #2). Got to get her in before she starts rolling her eyes and being mortified by her dad!

The horizontal scrolling is awkward. I think I'll replace it with some snazzy new javascript carousel thing.

Looks pretty easy, actually. May do this sooner than later...

Fantastic! I keep saying to myself, if he can do it, so can I!

The next time some ladies' magasine wants a success story, have you considered yourself? I'm sure you have some before pics of yourself without a t-shirt. The difference between before and maintaining are really dramatic.
