What a difference a plate makes

I've started eating lunch off a real plate. I used to just eat it from my the little plastic tubs I would use to carry my lunch. I swear I feel fuller. I know I eat slower (though still not slow). And I enjoy my food so much more even though it's the same thing I've always eaten.

There's more to the one plate rule than just portion control, I think.

Funny, I just bought a plate for work a couple weeks ago and I finally used it today! I almost made a post just like this.

Anyway, it was so nice. It definitely makes a difference. I notice that it was also neater - I didn't have to hover over a little space like when I eat straight out of a tuperware bin.

Plus, I got a great deal. It was only $1 at the grocery store. It's just a red Crayola plate, but still...

We eat with our eyes first.

Try Corelle! They're unbreakable, very pretty, and you can often find them in open stock.

Hmmm. I seem to be able to break Corelle just fine.

I love thrift stores. They usually have some pretty interesting plates.

I bought two plates! The pattern is called "Fossil" which is appropriate as I work at a science center.
