Just like learning the piano!

Post by Hungry Girl »

In my thirties I learned to play the piano. I figured I was of average intelligence and all I had to do was follow the teacher's instructions and practice! That thought just blew my mind at the time and it worked!

This is just the same. I am reasonably intelligent - all I have to do is follow a few simple rules and No S will work! Again - it blows my mind.

Great post. I liked your analogy. Sometimes we think because we hit a certain age, that we can no longer learn new things. We have to relearn how to believe in ourselves.

Yes! Except easier :-)

But you're right that they're both largely about practice -- and a great pleasure once you get past the awkward initial stages.
