Huge drum roll please :)

Post by gratefuldeb67 »

As some of you know I've been with the group for a little more than two years here, as of August which was our anniversary (Us meaning Richie and myself)

This year has been a very very slow year for weight loss for me..
I am only 5'2" and for a while now, just about three years, I have had to tell myself and others that I weigh over 200 lbs....
As much as I am proud that I have lost weight, that has nagged at me in a big way.. I'm not that focused on the scale too much, but secretly, I've been waiting a very very long time to be able to say I am now *not* 200 lbs..

Today's that day!
I went to weigh myself because I've been very good and feeling slightly hungry these days.. And Richie said I looked thinner in the face..
Plus I wanted to take stock of where I was today since I was curious to see how Urban Ranger would affect me once I started doing it regularly..

I stepped on the scale and,,,,,,,

I now weigh 199 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was almost a totally surreal experience being able to move the large weight from the 200 spot and then use the one in the 150-199 range, and I have to say, I really had a moment there and started to just tear up inside!!!

Felt like posting this here not on my thread, because I just felt like it's a big deal!!!

The fact that even though it took a long time to happen and it was frustratingly slow, only adds to the joy I'm feeling now that I didn't give up and finally got there!!

Thanks to all who have been so supportive to me here over these years!
Especially, as usual, Reinhard!

Have a great day all!

Peace and Love,
8) Deb

Congratulations, Deb! And kudos for sticking with it through the plateau! Proving once again that persistence pays off in the long run. :D

DEB THAT IS AWESOME AND FANTASTIC!!! WAY TO GO!!! I admire you so much for sticking to No-S and the slow and permanent path, it's not easy. You have brought so much inspiration and support to me and many others on this board. What a great feeling to achieve a goal you've had for so long. I'm so happy for you. You really have proven that No-S works and is for life.

ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR DAY!!!

Oh Deb!!!!!!!!!! I am incredibly happy for you :D

I know I haven't been around the board much (because I can't seem to stay on track) but I still check in. You are an inspiration because it's so admirable how you stick with things. When I feel a little bit of hunger I run the other way.

I can only imagine how amazing it must feel to reach a milestone like that.

Good job you :)

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Deb!
As we say in Australia - "You Beauty!"

You love all the Eastern philosophy stuff, so I think there is a Buddhist saying "If you are facing in the right direction all you have to do is keep walking."
Since you will stick with No-S, you will never have to worry about 200 pounds again! Isn't that great?!?!?!?

Wishing you all the best!
Yes Phil, I do believe there's no turning back this time!
I can say that with conviction and nothing can take it away!
Thanks again guys!

Deb, that is fantastic!

Even a hardened scale sceptic has to rejoice at a number like that.

Guess that extra urban ranging didn't take long to pay off!

Congratulations!

Thank you very much Reinhard!!! :D

And you *know* I'm *NOT* stepping on that scale again for another few weeks or maybe a month.. Heh...

No turning back! Last night every once in a while I kept saying to Richard, out of the blue, "199" LOL... To which he would then give me a victory cheer! A great feeling!!!

Have a great weekend!

Congratulations Deb!!! Wow what an achievement! And you are right. It was made the sweeter by having to stay with it through a long plateau. You have just stepped out into the sunshine girl!! Bask in the warm of your glow. I am so happy for you.

Ohhh, still kickin it Deb!

Haven't been online much as I'm still looking for work and things of that nature. Turns out the job market is kinda of tough!

Luckily I still has my trusty sledge to take out my frustrations with recruiters on :)

I haven't been under 200 lb since I was sixteen (I'm 25, closer to 26 now).

But I remember that bump! How awesome for you!!! 8)
