No Snacks, no sweets, no seconds. Except on Days that start with S. Too simple for you? Simple is why it works. Look here for questions, introductions, support, success stories.
I have only started the No S diet today and feel very hungry tonight. I'm sure I will get over it and will probably have to give myself bigger portions for a little while. I need to lose 40 metric pounds and have tried everything under the sun. When I came across this diet I had a moment of enlightenment, how simple can you get? This must be the most 'do-able' diet ever! Anyway, my question is, I am an English tea drinker which means I can't stand to drink my tea without milk. I don't mind drinking water now and then but a lovely cup of tea at least three or four times a day is such a comfort. I don't use sugar mind you. Do you think the milk in my tea is a problem (I will start using skimmed milk if that is better).
Welcome to the boards, and you're right. This is the most do-able diet on the planet.
As to your question, my guess would be that having tea with milk 3 times/day is probably fine, skim milk or not. It would be a problem if you added a lovely English scone with that lovely English tea! (My English grandmother made the best scones ever.)
At first, it's normal to feel hungry if you're used to snacking. Most of us had to start with bigger portions at mealtimes. Eventually things will calm down as you develop the habit of No S.
Tea with milk is required for all Brits, and fortunately, you are in the clear..
It's not a problem at all! Especially if you don't have biscuits with it! LOL..
Good luck!!!
Give yourself a good period of getting used to the rules.. And I'm not talking days..
Hopefully it will come easily, but if it doesn't at first, rest assured that your body will adapt to this eventually and painlessly!
Yeah the whole point of this, Anna, is to be livable and maintainable..
It's not a martyr style of eating....
I felt that big sigh of relief also when I read the page where Reinhard said sugar in your coffee is okay! LOL..
Peace and Love, Debs
I agree with them. And I have only been doing this for 3 days now, each day is getting a TINY bit easier, but I can see where the light is..and its a light of hope at the end of the tunnel, not a freight train cominhg at me.
