Fab! Thank you.
*Friday 11th I broke my own personal rule of no alcohol in the week, and had a large glass of red with dinner! But still counting it as success as I know it is technically allowed.
*Friday 18th My first ever planned Non weekend S day. I had friends for dinner for a belated birthday celebration. Am feeling rather overfull and uncomfortable after a 3 course meal accompanied by too much alcohol! Hmm NoS feels better than this...... :?
*Friday 25th
I just wanted to make note of something significant that happened today.
At work we are having a Christmas meal at the local pub. We could choose starter and main, or main and dessert. I had already chosen main and dessert. Today I found myself saying to the lady who is booking the meal 'Please can you cross off my dessert and just order me a main.'
That is absolutely a first for me. I had thought I just needed to have that white chocolate cheesecake with raspberries, but actually on reflection I know that I can live without it, can happily have a coffee instead, and will most certainly feel better afterwards for sticking to NoS.
This diet is doing strange but good things to my mindset!
Tues 29th Well I spoke too soon. Emotional eating has reared its ugly head today. I am cross with myself for ruining my lovely green November! Feeling exhausted and upset and just lost control this afternoon. So I will follow the advice to mark it and move on, and try not to beat myself up too much about it.
Phew, finished green! On the whole, I am pleased with November. Onto the tricky month!

I'm jumping back in because I need to stay honest during the upcoming holidays. November4 is an S event. Going to an annual fundraiser gala dinner. They usually serve desserts from an Amish bakery. I'm not passing that up! Nov22: made it a NWS day due to going to urgent care and getting a medication that had to be taken with food. Just some cheese and crackers.... didn't use it as an excuse to eat half a cake. Haha.

Tuesdays are my nemesis!

It's fair to say the week turned into a shocker, both eating and every other way. Fresh start tomorrow :?

18/11 Ummm... Well. This is looking very Christmassy... :(
I have regrouped again! To say it's a learning process is being generous, but hey, there we are... Can only keep on trying to think straight about all this!

21/11 Have started this week with a green, hurrah!
23/11 So chuffed that I've made it to Wed with 3 greens :D

28/11... Cracked at the end of friday! tired, husband away, 3 kids to sort out... plenty of excuses! Anyway. Glad it's monday again

02 - "minor" fail because I didn't serve enough lunch & so had a couple of handfuls of macadamias (still learning). Otherwise on plan.
03 - very annoyed at myself, on plan all day then ate gingerbread dough after dinner :(
08 - ate extra nuts after lunch. I hate having to fail because of one slip-up!! But as tempting as it is to lie... I'm determined to be honest.

Day 3: I was so hoping to have a full green month :(
Days 9&10: DH home from hospital. No S thrown to the wind.
Day 15: Baked a bread with dried fruit in it. Couldn't resist. Don't know why I did this. DH off from work for a while. Thrown off routine.
Day 23: Preparing sides for Thanksgiving dinner. Sampling more than necessary.
Day 29: Ate a small handful of peanuts at night.
Day 30: Unexpected drop off of grandkids. Made them pumpkin muffins and had two.

Glad I'm not the only one, rawcookie!
Makes me very determined not to post another red this week! (Despite feeling rather peckish at the minute, and trying to get on with work, which generally makes me start wondering about what's in the kitchen...!!)

Wishing everyone a wonderful Green November.
My internet service is so patchy, I don't think I can keep up with the challenge this month.
I hope to be able to join the December thread when it rolls around!!

Once again, copying and pasting didn't work for me. I'll have to go back to last month and fiddle with it later.

Bumping with a question. If I am planning in a non weekend S day, how should I mark it on the calendar? Thinking ahead to a couple of events leading up to Christmas where it will be very difficult to stick to NoS.
Thanks :)

Use a yellow sticker, the same as for S days. Two a month are "allowed." It forces being quite discerning around Christmas, but loading plates is still "allowed" also. You can enjoy a lot of the extra savory foods any day.

The more moderate we are the rest of the time, the more it makes sense to take advantage of celebrations, much as traditional societies did. They just couldn't do it all year long, the lucky stiffs. :?

I'll send it to you separately. Really, it is so diety, I don't want to post it on the big board. Too easy to attract recovering diet heads! What I liked about No S discussion when I came here was the lack of that kind of talk, though I've probably been guilty of it at times.
