Day 3: I allow myself a dessert when I have company. It was one of the reasons (or excuses) that caused me to quit no s the first time. But the problem was that I didn't stop having dessert after they left, so a red day.
Day 5: Excited about my new spiralizer, and so I sampled too much dinner before dinner.
Day 12: Family over: Ate past green.
Day 19: Practicing up for vacation.
Days 22-26: Vacation, and too much of it.
Day 30: Too much bread at dinner. Didn't fit on plate.

Hi, I'm new here (and new to No S). I'm a 43-year-old teacher. I have 50 pounds to lose, not to get to ideal weight but just to the line between normal and overweight BMI. It's humbling. I've always been feast-or-famine, so I'm really looking forward to going slow-and-steady a try.

Welcome! You're in good company--I am almost 50 with 63 lbs to lose (43 left now). Anyway don't be embarrassed. You've started on the right track. Just keep moving forward and making good decisions now.

When I first get onto the August challenge each day, I don't have an edit button. I have to click the quote button and go thru this rigamarole to have the edit button show up. Also, I don't know how to get those cute green smiley faces onto my dates. Can someone help this pathetic computer-unsavvy person?
I haven't tracked myself here up to now, but I just love the little calendar made of emojis hahahaha!
Aug 5, Friday, was a red day because I totally cheated the system. Heh. Here's how: I made a plate of food, but before I had eaten it all, I went and put more on my plate. At the time I told myself it was cool but nah...that was seconds, plain and simple. And I regretted it...got way too full.
Aug 17 failure day because I baked bread and had some hot fresh out of the oven. At 3 pm.
Aug 28: It's been a terrific week. Even my appetite is not bothering me these days. AND stepping on the scale every day turns out to be a good thing. The past two or three days I've seen a general downward drift. Not pinning anything on it, but it does seem to be adjusting.
Finished the month VERY well, tyvm. My only red day was because I baked bread and ate some fresh out of the oven.

To get the green smilies (aka :mr green:) cick on "view more emoticons" over on the left of the page. And...the edit...there should be an edit option up in the upper right corner of your post. I think. heheh. It looks like a pencil.
Good luck! Also, you can create a calendar in HabitCal, but that isn't as share and care as it will be here.
Thank you, buns. Since the edit button won't appear on my original post, I need to hit the quote button, submit my post, cancel it (so it doesn't appear twice), and then the edit button will show up on the original post. Weird. This is why last time I felt too lazy to do it more than one month.
I can't get mr. green to appear on my targeted date. He pops up only at the end of my post. No big deal...I'll just use the green font colors.

yeah. My Mr. Green appears at the end while I am working on a post, but I just highlight the : mrgreen : part, then right click on it, and click "cut" and then put the cursor up where I want it to appear and right click again, and paste. It is rather a pain, though. And too bad by far about no edit button for you. But hey, you're computer savvy enough to hit the quote button AND cancel it hahaha! more than I'd know to do.
im in, too... although it is all red so far because i have added cola to my wine every evening, to improve the taste (i dont like croatian wine and in general i dont like to drink after food but it was social summer evening occasion every single night last 2 weeks) and to make it alcohol-lighter...
today (8th) - a biscuit after lunch...
9 - chocolate ice-cream
10, 11 - snacking while driving back home from holidays
31 - seconds for dinner... and a square of chocolate an hour after that...

Ended up on a spur-of-the-moment mini-vacation this week! Had great fun, and didn't go too crazy with eating, but did enjoy some treats each day. Looking forward to getting back on track this next week
