No Snacks, no sweets, no seconds. Except on Days that start with S. Too simple for you? Simple is why it works. Look here for questions, introductions, support, success stories.
OK - here we go! December, Xmas, New Year ............ the trick is to DECIDE IN ADVANCE which will be the S days/extra S days. I've put the dates in to make it clearer (?) - I'm taking an extra on 11th as I've been invited to a pre-Xmas supper, and of course Xmas Day itself.
22.12.15 - emergency revision of plan (says SHE who said the trick was to decide in advance! sorry!) I have a meal out with family at a restaurant on 23rd - and I hardly ever see them - so I'm making 23rd one of my extra S days as well!)
7th - a sad face rather than a blush - I had to cover an extra shift at work and ended up not getting home until 11pm - I got 'caught' between two meals - and ate a 'snack' between lunch and dinner. It was savoury - and I kept dinner light.
17th - extreme stress at work - I chose to eat a bag of cheese & onion crisps at my afternoon tea-break. Same as 7th really - a savoury snack between lunch and dinner.
31st - I underestimated the emotional weight of New Year's Eve! cookies and chocolate were consumed!
No medal for me this month - three reds on the HabitCal = no medal. Still - it was Xmas and I'm not unhappy about the result

S days will be 25 December & 28 December (dear daughters birthday).
I am doing the orthodox 'sometimes' S days. So I choose not to have weekend S days unless it is absolutely a pudding after Sunday lunch to die for. One such pudding will be Christmas pudding which I have adored since forever.
Really value the chance to start afresh at the start of each month. Thanks for doing this cookie.
September 2017 - Starting weight: 19st 9lbs
March 2018 - 17st 2lbs
July 2018 - 16st 4lbs
July 2020 - 17st 10lbs
Target Weight: 11 stones
Yes, thank you RAWCOOKE for getting December started for us. In addition to Christmas, I have 3 other birthdays in December (my son's on the 26th and two of his children, 28th and 31st)! Yes, it is a tough month! (My father's birthday was in December too, the 27th). Anyway, I will probably celebrate the grandkids' birthdays but not my son's. I like your Emoticons system Cookie, I think I will give it a try too.

OK, I'm in. I may decide to add another NWS day, we'll see.
8)8)
Trading Sat the 12th for Tues 15th as an S day, because of a good friend's 70th birthday!
Decided to keep 13th green and use the S day for whenever I need it- kind of a "get out of jail free card"! Freely floating S days don't work for me (too much flexibility), but trading has worked in the past. (I wound up using the saved S for some Christmas cookies on the 17th!)
A happy end to the month. Only 3 red days, which I consider great given all the travel!

Okay I'm in ! It's good to be Jewish I guess. I'm not taking any extra s days as we'll have our big Hanukkah celebration on the weekend anyway. Oh except New Year's Eve !

My NWS days are Christmas, and New Year's day. (All my parties are on the weekends, anyway, so I'm all good there.

Hello, this is my first full month on NoS. Thanks for the welcome Rawcookie. I am going to keep my NWS days to Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I have an evening do at a wedding on New Year's Eve so not sure about that but will go for it anyway. Lots of School events to work around but it will be fine!
whoo hoo! The first week has gone to plan! And so has week 2
Back on the case with a good start to week 3 first big fail on 16th - oh well back on the horse. Week 4 starting well - only 3 N days to do before a 4 day break
Feeling better that my red days are becoming surrounded by green. I have decided New Year's Eve evening will be an S event.
4 S days in a row - around Christmas - all done now and hoping I can get back on the saddle with 3 N days and an S event day. Woohoo - 3 N days done and an S event tomorrow. All sorted for the month. Roll on January.

Today is the last day of the year. I did NOT achieve bronze status this month, but I think I kept enough green days to prevent weight gain. I'll check tomorrow. Happy New Year every one!
 28(SICK day)

2 extra S days on the 9th and 24th will be evening only (parties)--normal N days otherwise. My regular S days are Fridays and Sundays.
Homeschool Mom and No S returnee as of 11-30-15.
2 years and counting on No-S.

Looks like many of us had some reds, but we made it through!! It was a month with so many food landmines.
I'm thrilled to have kept it to 3 red days, and wish everyone a successful and Happy New Year!
