Jelly's accountability

Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

Jelly's accountability

Post by jellybeans01 »

I am going to need this accountability as the "fence around the rules" which I love is really hard for me.

I am doing a 30 day challenge because it just sounds good. My S day is Friday because my girls nights out and all the fun stuff lands of Friday night. I give myself 1 s day a week or else...I feel so crappy. Plus I am only 5'4" and need to be more in control. I am pregnant and my Dr. is totally okay with this because he really does not want me to go over 155.

Day1 success

Yay day 2 success. There was a small little glick when cleaning the kids room I found an animal cracker and popped it on my mouth. But....that can be overlooked right?

Congrats! How far along are you? No-S worked very well for me during pregnancy. Of course I didn't follow it to a tee...but I did my best! One S day makes sense.

I did the non perfect no s for a a couple of pregnancies and it really helped me from not gaining to much. One s day only especially since I am not really working out at all.

I tend to get side tracked by the intuitive eating pattern then realize I need to just stick to no s. So I really want this to be my habit then I can learn to cut back and be truly hungry for meals. I am going again with my 30 days. Here is to day 1.
