Hi there, thought I'd introduce myself. I joined last year, made an attempt at No S but then got frustrated at the slow weight loss - and at how I went a bit mad at weekends! So I dived back into WeightWatchers - with predictabe results... Sigh
Anyway, I'm back now and I'm committed to No S ing properly. Would like to lose about 15 lbs but more than that, I'd just like to stop worrying about food and judging myself on what I've eaten over the last 24 hours. Feels like I've been on a diet on and off since I was about 12 (I'm 35 now). Time to eat normally and to see where that takes me.
I just wanted to say welcome. I could have written your post myself! I have been on and off WW numerous times. I've been on No-S for about 12 weeks.....and the slow weight loss gets to me sometimes. But then I realize this is a plan I can stick to for life!
My only advice would be stick to it. It just takes time......
My only advice would be to try and stick to vanilla NoS for a while to get the habits down, and then if you aren't losing as much weight as you'd like, see if you can tweak it a little. For example, initially I didn't restrict what I drank at all as I was getting used to the three 'No S's' (and was worried more about not eating snacks and sweet foods) but after a few weeks I started taking more care and reducing the amount of calorific drinks I have had.
Welcome! I completely agree that it is most important to stick to vanilla No S and build habit when you are starting out. Over time, if you don't exercise already, adding some moderate exercise, like walking or anything active you enjoy, can certainly help too. But building habit is the place to focus on at first.
