So, I was talking to my husband last night, as he has also been eating very close to NoS the past month but managed to lose 12 pounds (!!!). I was asking him how exactly he's been doing it, and one of the things he said was that most of the time he only eats a banana for breakfast.

Great question! I agree with what other folks said... eat what makes you FEEL good. As my mother says, "Eat a little bit of food, mostly plants." My husband and I don't keep bread in our home very often. If we want carbs, we do potatoes, quiona, oatmeal, wheat berries, bulgar, fruit, you name it. I ...

This work stuff annoys the HECK OUT OF ME. I work in a small office of women, and everyone notices who eats or does not eat the cake. If people are not eating the cake, we get to hear things like "Oh, I don't eat stuff like that." or "I'm gluten intolerant" or "I'm doing whole 30". Then, the people ...

Wanted to share my first month's results!
I was delighted when I got on the scale this morning!
I'm down 4.2lbs since I started the NoS mentality at the end of August. I'll take it!
I've been doing it pretty Vanilla. Looking forward to seeing continued success with this.

I agree with previous posters on simply putting it all out in front of me to really get a visual of what I'm eating.
I've noticed that I've never need to eat more than what I can pile up on my hands and carry around. Not that I'm doing this, just an observation.

Thoughts on Miso Soup Packets?
I got some packets of miso soup at the grocery store thinking they would be a great, between meals beverage. However, I opened one up and saw that there were three very small pieces of tofu (smaller than one dice) about a teaspoon of green onion, finely chopped and about a tablespoon of seaweed ...

I bought the kindle version of No S Diet book, and am really enjoying reading it!
