Sick days?
Okay, right when I hit the 21 day mark I also got sick. I'm wondering how other people handle sick days on the no s. I'm trying my best to deal with the guilt of taking extra S days, but... well, it's difficult. (I'm not one of those people who loses their appetite when they are sick, unless it's ...

Congratulations on the new pants!! I found a pair of jeans in my closet that had been too small, but now they fit!
I think you are exactly right about the things that help us with NO S. I'm doing the same things, even with portion control. I'll work on getting better once I've got the first habit ...

iregirl, you are such an inspiration for food choices. First the tacos and now spaghetti. I'm going to have spaghetti tonight from one of our fave restaurants (that has been planned for some time now), but I like my sauce better. Now that you mentioned it I think I'll have to make up a batch of it ...

jules , I don't suppose the Couch to 5k program was from coolrunning.com? I've known a lot of people who used that one. I agree that the same people who are drawn to martial arts are also drawn to everyday systems, because of the simplicity, the logic, and the practicality.

I do Kuk Sool Won, a korean martial art, but have previously studied some Shaolin Do and Karate. (That makes it sound like I was good at them. I did them each for less than 6 months. But I'm pretty serious about KSW now, I'm loving it and am in a place were I can afford to pay for it.)

Newcomer joins the shovelglove ranks!
Hey all...
Today was my first ever try at shovelglove. I set the alarm for 14 minutes and managed 60 shovels of snow per side, 50 pieces of wood chopped per side, and 60 butterchurns per side. Wow! Can I ever feel that!

Yesterday (B9): Success !!
I'm so happy with myself. Last night, at happy hour (which it turned out was a close friend's birthday as well, but didn't count it as an S day), I had a single beer and a smaller plate of food than normal at a Mexican restaurant. It was fun and delicious. And I felt so ...

Actually so far I've had great success with the "Don't be an idiot" part of the NoS diet in the juice department. I just count it as my one glass of allowed non-water/tea drink (my own rule) during a meal. It's going great!
But I like the glass ceiling for its real use. As a 25 y/o college student ...

I know several people have mentioned drinking water to help but my hubbie got me hooked on a slight twist to that - drinking ICE water.
This may not seem like a big deal to most of you but I am the kind of freak who asks for no ice in my drinks at restaurants, etc. The idea is though that the cold ...

Jesslyn's Daily Check-In
I started this on the 19th. I haven't messed up any days (even the ones around Thanksgiving!) yet. The first week was pretty easy: I was super-motivated and I had an extra S Day.
This week, however, has already been a bit of a struggle. I've got a tough school schedule this (and next) week and ...
