I'm not sure how active these boards still are (it's been 11 years since I last visited apparently!) but after trying somany other diets over the year, I'm returning to this one because the last time I reached my goal weight was...you guessed it: when I was no s-ing.

Count me is as another returnee. I do well for a week or so, maybe two, and then I think "I'm doing so well, I can relax a bit!" Why on earth I tell myself THAT...it's completely illogical. At any rate, back on the wagon :) Going to build some healthy habits again and stop using stress as an excuse.

I think my meals are extremely calorie-dense right now. I am consciously fearful of "being hungry", but I can see that in two weeks that's already improved a little.
I think this is a common experience when you abandon old eating habits in favor of No S. I always afraid I'm going to be HUNGRY and ...

oh and if anyone's interested, there was a series in Britain called "The Supersizers Go..." where they went through various eras of British history and how people ate and measured their health at the beginning and end of a week (I know, not very long but still interesting :D)

Okay, minor complaint about this blog and the idea that she went on a "1950s diet" to lose weight. If you read it, you'll see that she also 1) cut out sugar for a whole year, 2) cut out all fake and processed foods (they ate a lot of processed foods in the 50s, such as margarine) and 3) went gluten ...

oh man I just realized there were two different documentaries: the Men Who Made Us Thin and the Men Who Made Us Fat. I watched episode one of Thin and then the other two of Fat. I wondered why when I went back and rewatched it all, the first episode wasn't the same...now I got it.

We celebrated my son's bday this weekend and there was left over cake. I was eyeing that cake after lunch and saying, nooo, no, don't have it, you'll have to mark the day red. And then I said, fine, I'll mark the day red AND have the cake. So it's red.
But I regret having the cake. Not really worth ...
