I am so glad you did an August Challenge. I didn't participate in July. I have 3 things I am working on in August, the diet(of course), but also walking
M-F, and drinking at least 6 glasses/small bottles of water a day. Water has always been a challenge for me.
I am so excited. This will be fun ...

I think milk can aggravate it more than help it. Although, things like yogurt (because of the bacteria present) can be helpful. But you don't need one of the yogurts that are designed to be helpful.

Thank you all for your advice. I started having heartburn with reflux Saturday night, it continued all day Sunday and Sunday night, into Monday morning. It was coming and going, but pretty constant. Lots of burping, I know, gross.
So Monday night I had a very light dinner, and had no milk products ...

Possible side effect? Advice needed.
Good Morning everyone,
I think I may be getting heartburn/reflux from eating only 3 meals a day. My meals are larger than before because I have cut out snacking in between. I know sometimes I have eaten to excess, but not always.
I have started getting pretty bad heartburn/reflux, bad enough that ...

Whooo Hooo!!!! I finished my first full week! Friday was a success! It feels good to have one week behind me. I don't think I have ever felt this positive after one week of dieting before.

Me, too! I've been making homemade challah bread on the weekends. Plus blueberry pie. There's something so wonderful about enjoying home-baked stuff on the weekends. So much better than shoveling in oreos all week.

Yesterday Monday, ended with failure. I had a snack after dinner, an orange. I love oranges, but I didn't want to give anything up on my plate at dinner to make room for that orange, I let myself get too hungry before dinner. Then later I was really craving my orange and I gave in.

You're welcome! (And I didn't need to sound snotty, by the way. It's just that if success meant packing my lunch, I'd be done for). The great thing about No S is that even if you're going out, you can still limit yourself to a single plate. Plus, the plate looks silly if there is nothing healthy on ...

I am also new to this diet. Not new to dieting - I've spent my LIFE on a diet. I was surprised at how much food I put in my work bag this morning. I eat breakfast and lunch at work and even though I would bring stuff to work, I was lazy and greedy and left holes in the menu which I would inevitably ...

Hi Ellie
Thank you for the welcome. Yes I agree this is not like any other diet I have ever been on. I saw quickly, the first day, how this can really work. When my husband and I work together we always have an afternoon candybar break. On Friday we skipped it and we were fine. We still ate like we ...

Welcome Maggie! You will LOVE NoS, as I'm sure you suspect by now from everyone's comments. It's simple and it works. From someone who has been yo-yo dieting on and off pretty much since my teens, I have found this to be the ONLY eating solution that has removed my *diet head*. The angst is gone ...

Re: not alone
Hey, I know what you mean. I struggle with diet and make myself miserable with one extreme or another, but it's not worth it! No S is the sanest, humanest diet you will ever be on. As has been brought up many times, this isn't the only diet that works, but it is probably the only diet that gets ...

Welcome! No S works from the inside out. I am healing my inner addiction first and foremost... and loosing weight too. I lost 20... quit and gained the 20 at Christmas... and I'm now down the 20 again with probably 50 or so to go before I am happy. I advise you to stick to it and be strict without ...

Hello everyone!
I am checking in on my first day. Are you supposed to do this at the end of the day or is anytime ok?
So far, so good. I am working with my husband today, lots of driving in the car. We just avoided one of our biggest weaknesses, the afternoon candy bar snack. He tried to convince ...

Hello everyone,
I just finished the book last night. I am excited but a little hesitant. I've always believed if something sounds too good to be true then it usually is.
I have tried many of the popular diets with little or no success. Main reason for this is that I can't or don't stick with the ...
