Introducing new habits to habitcalc - when?
On previous occasions, I have had upto 5-6 habits being tracked on habit calc, right from the get go. As you can imagine, this turned out to be a disaster: one habit might be going well but then another might not be, then I would start to berate myself until eventually walking away from the whole ...

I'm not especially concerned over it, truth be told. If I can lose muscle mass this quickly, I can sure as heck put it back on. My strength, as measured by 1RM in the squat hasn't decreased, and my power output as measured by force plates and accelerometers has *improved*. (Of course, there may be ...

Other "diets" you've tried?
Just was wanting to read some of the other ideas folks had tried in managing their food intake and what the results were? Call it a 'diet review' if you will.
For example, I went on a strict 'twigs and berries' diet (aka - nothing you couldn't kill or gather in 100,000 BC). It worked - as most ...

The idea of 'food as medicine' is a pretty interesting one to me. If food can heal, then surely it can harm. I get the feeling the concept is increasingly popular and not just with the avid nutra-ceutical crowd

I like to add half or a full tablespoon of low(er) fat peanut butter. For me, it gives the oatmeal an sense of "I'm eating something" rather than a "did I just eat a bowl of cement?". Sometimes add in some "3 fruits" tinned fruit - although I find that can make it too watery.

Re: Question for Noel: protein
I've been looking at a bunch of bodybuilding sites. Most of them are of course for guys. They say that if you are "training" (as if), you should eat 1 g protein per pound of body weight. If I were to apply that to my ideal weight, that would be a minimum of 95 g a day! If I eat my custom designed ...
