Diet or exercise?
If you could only bare to start with one, which should it be, diet or exercise? I've heard that if you start with movement, it will be easier to begin healthy eating habits. Something about not wanting to ruin your efforts. What do you think, keeping in mind that for diet I mean No S and exercise ...

Meals at specific times or just 3 plates a day?
I'm not usually hungry in the morning, in fact I usually don't want to eat anything until about 11am. I am thirsty though and in need of caffeine, so I have coffee and occasionally juice. I end up getting hungry in the late morning so sometime around 11ish I'll eat... then I'm not hungry at "lunch ...

I plan 6 dinners, complete with sides, and 1 night of left-overs for each week. I don't assign which dinner will be eaten on what night though. I leave that to be determined by my schedule that week. After a lot of thought I decided to weigh once a month, on the 1st, regardless of the day of the week. When I was a calorie counter I weighed daily. So we ended up with a lot of fire wood that needs to be chopped. Being a single mom I decided to delegate that job to my 2 teenaged sons. They've been going at it for a week now and both are saying how much stronger they are feeling and we are noticing more muscle definition too...Now they are ...

To weigh or not to weigh?
I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a scale so I can start weighing in to track my progress. I was thinking of getting a simple scale, digital but no bells and whistles...and weighing twice a week. Monday would be my official weight and

Starting over again..

I have decided that the No S diet is not mutually exclusive. It is compatible with any way of eating that I might some day gravitate ...

I'm going to have to get this. I just love Clara! She is full of wisdom and common sense. Often, I find it hard to eat according to "tradition" because we didn't have any when I was growing up, none passed down from mom...

Here's one of our favorites . I heat left-over, partially mashed and seasoned black or pinto beans, top them with over easy fried eggs (1 each for the kids and 2 for adults) adding salsa on top. Yum! We use this for breakfast and quick easy dinners. That being said I think protein so totally over ...

I hear you too! I was guilty of almost the same thing...I tried NoS back in 2007 and it worked very well, but I got off track ... then panic set in, and I looked for other ways to lose weight. . . . I knew this plan worked and brought MANY other nice things with it besides the weight loss - meaning ...
