Re: Last night
...everything looked soooo good that I was ready to declare the day a failure. I got a plate and put on one slice of pizza and 4 wings, told the rest that I'd be back for them later. I ate what was on my plate and then it happened.........my head told me you aren't hungry anymore! OMG that was a ...

Re: Mindless Eating
I bought this last night It looks like it will be a good fit with No-S and Michael Pollan's books.
There's a page right after the introduction that has a single sentence on it: "The best diet is the one you don't know you're on." Love it!
Great book! Hope you enjoy it! I found it really ...

I'm sorry to keep bringing this up here, but I can't help but see the similarities between the two programs!
I just wanted to say how grateful I am that I heard of Intuitive Eating first... it really taught me how to watch for *true* (physiological) hunger -- wait for my stomach to be empty before ...

The Intuitive eating/nondieting movement has helped me tremendously. To me, it's not too different from No Sing. I guess the difference is that IE would tell you to eat when hungry. For those unfamiliar with IE, you must learn to know true hunger. You can't just have a craving and say " I will have ...

After my tonsillectommy/adenoidectomy I gained 9lbs in one week. Most people lose about 12lbs but, I gained. I was eating from the moment I left surgery but, not 9lbs worth in a week. That would be a net of 31,500 calories.
Of course, it was all water weight and in the end I was down 2lbs ...

I also walk but on my treadmill. I walk for 30 minutes 5 days a week. That's about it for now.
I'd LOVE to own a treadmill, but as of this moment, I can't afford one. I'm hoping, though, to save up and get one next January. ;) I'm going to check out the cheap "sale" sites, and such... I'd love to ...

Exercise / Movement in general
How many of you NoS veterans ( to borrow a word from another poster here ) have included some form of movement / exercise with your eating plan?
I just signed up, today, for the American Heart Association's "Start!" Challenge ( http://heart.org/start ), because I really believe that walking is the ...

Having been working at "intuitive eating" (IE) for the past 3 years, and JUST starting NoS this week (in addition to my IE practices), I have to say that I've read "sometimes" to mean "moderation"... you can have your snacks/sweets/seconds on the weekend, but just go easy with them... enjoy them ...

Peanut butter on a spoon is my favorite quick snack! I LOVE peanut butter!
Admittedly, I still make a PB snack that I learned from Mr.Dressup when I was knee-high... you mix PB, sugar, and honey... then just eat it like that. It is SOOOO not healthy for you, but it's the perfect thing when you're ...

I found out about the diet through the WW article, and wasn't originally going to buy the book... thought I didn't need another "diet" book.
But, after reading everything I could find online, and reading a ton of posts here on the message boards, ya'll convinced me, and I ordered a copy of the book ...

Which "S" is hardest for you to let go of?
Which "S" (out of s weets / s nacks / s econds) is hardest for you to release during the N days?
For me, it's sweets . I've given up snacks before, and found that I immediately released weight, because snacking is something I do a lot of. And, since learning intuitive-eating principles in 2005 ...

Are you using HabitCal? What are you tracking? Is it helping, and how?
I just started NoSing today, so I don't have much to track yet. But, I'm using the HabitCal for NoS, and also for my exercising, and for keeping my kitchen sink "shiny" (yes, I *try* to follow FLYLady). ;-)
