21 (imperfect) days down, feedback needed
Yesterday was day 21 for me (in absolute terms, not days-on-habit terms). I had one red day, one NWS day, and one idiot weekend in that time. But I do feel like the 3 meals habit is sinking in--my body now gets hungry at consistent times each day, and I'm used to the cycle of hungry-->meal-->full ...

Absolutely! Binging can definitely be a self-punishing behavior for me, especially the "I ate a little too much...now I must eat until I feel like throwing up" and the "I weigh too much...now I must eat until I feel as terrible about myself as humanly possible" binges. (But also the "I didn't do ...

Hang in there, Jamie! I think getting frustrated about weight gain or not losing weight also sometimes pushes people toward self-sabatoge or giving up. It seems contradictory, but I know I do it and have seen others do it too with various plans/diets, and of course it becomes a bad cycle. The only ...

This may not apply to you at all, but for me, I think pushing really hard to get to day 21 with a perfect record was worse than letting myself slip up in the first 21 days. I wasn't really thinking beyond day 21, and I wonder if once I got there, as soon as the "I did it!" glow wore off, I'd just ...

JD4's Check In
I'm worried I'm going to start bothering people over in General Discussion soon, so figured I could use a thread of my own
Today is Day 10 and we'll call it a
SUCCESS ,
although only by the skin of my teeth and with some virtual plating.
Part of me is bound and determined to make it ...

Particularly hard times of day, "trigger" situatio
As we try to instill new habits, especially at the beginning, it can be hard to resist the pull of the old ones. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds there's a certain time of day when their brain just screams for a snack or a sweet, or certain situations that seem very odd and maybe even ...

Another vote for "sweets" here. There was a period in my life when I was pretty rigid about not having any sweets ever, which I eventually overcame and developed the mindset that it's perfectly okay to have sweets if I want them, and I still think that is true in general. But I'd gotten to the point ...

This is also my first S day after my first 5 of NoS, and it's been fine. I'm typically a big snacker, sometimes doing more grazing than meal-eating, so that's been the biggest thing for me today--being able to have a little something when I just want a little something, or to tide me over when it's ...

So, what if you try a food you don't like?
Hi all. I'm coming to the end of my first week of No-Sing, it's going pretty well so far, and looking at past posts in this forum have already helped answer a lot of my questions. Here's a worry I came up with (hypothetical situation, hasn't actually happened yet) that I haven't come across an ...
