Just hang in there. As a fellow diabetic (although type 2), I know how hard it is to lose weight while taking insulin. You've done a great job!! It is harder to exercise when the sun goes down so early and I think, as the weather gets colder, we all get hungrier.

So very true!! My office is a minefield of candy jars. I try very hard NOT to see them. When I do, I want some. Simple as that. I don't keep what I shouldn't at home so that part is fairly easy.

Great article! And very true. New habits need to be constantly (and consistently reinforced). I quit smoking for two years (happily), had one cigarette with a friend, and was right back where I started in about a week. Talk about hibernation!!!

Day Eight - Success
Day Nine - Sort of Success. I overshot the insulin I take a little at lunch and had to to ingest four glucose tablets to get my blood sugar up. I then felt really shaky an hour later so I ate a small apple. Unfortunately with diabetes, these things are going to happen.

Thanks for responding everyone. I have decided to eat the salad and fill up half a plate (some protein, other vegetables, perhaps a piece of fruit. I think this will work well and keep me from inadvertently going off track.
