My weight is now back to my lowest ever as an adult. Really pleased, I intend losing a little more, being moderate with alcohol and when my back eases exercising to build muscle.
I am hoping to reduce my Hba1c further in March, no panic but with Christmas looming I don't want to slide backwards!
Hope everyone doing ok

Hi Both
Thanks for checking in. I got derailed over Christmas and have put 2 or 3 pounds on!
Struggling to find my groove again. I am also feeling the pressure of a looming HbA1c test at the end of March.
I am sure things will improve soon

My weight reached an all time low today. 9st 1lb.
I'd be happy at that weight except for my blood sugars so will try lose a few more pounds till I get it sorted.
I definitely feel back in the groove and I don't know about you but feel like I'm in weight loss mode. Just physically there is a recognisable shift in how I feel when I'm losing weight.

Hi Soprano - I'm sorry about your disappointing blood sugar test; I know that is a disheartening blow. But congratulations on hitting a new weight loss low and (perhaps even more importantly) feeling in the weight loss groove. Blood sugar control can be difficult but I know you can do it. I'm sending you all the best wishes, WIN

My lowest ever recorded weight this morning 9st 0.6lbs
I am hitting 16:8 TRE reasonably consistently but not every day.
I eat 2 meals and if needed a snack which would be a handful raw nuts or some dark chocolate.
I eat low carb but not keto.
Exercise is getting consistent. Walk the dog 2 or 3 times a day yoga, Pilates or some resistance training but not every day. I find I respond better if I have rest days.

Ladies
I am so excited to share my weight today. After hovering at 9st 0.x lbs for a couple of weeks I have weighed in at 8st 13.2 this morning. I have never seen an 8 stone on my scale.
That's without sticking to my usual clean 16hr overnight fast.
Whilst No s was an important part of my journey I don't follow the format exactly anymore.
I would encourage everyone to put health above weight loss for vanity because it has been that more than anything that has kept me going.
I'm 62 I don't want to wind up weak and frail with a list of ailments as long as my arm all caused ultimately by poor diet and lack of exercise.
I have suffered my share of eating disorder, being unhappy and overweight, anxiety and depression.
But I can say, mentally and physically I am probably in my best shape ever
Just don't give up, take some time to look at what is on your plate and also really taste it! I actually found that when I ate slowly with concentration for a time a lot of the so called treats actually didn't even taste nice and left me feeling awful afterwards. When I eat non processed whole foods I feel so much better physically and mentally.
I don't ever feel deprived these days. The food industry condition us to crave their products with all the additives.
Take some time to taste and then find your own treats
I'm rooting for you all!!
I think I'm going to aim for 8st 7 by next blood test and hopefully I'll have turned my blood sugars around.

Way to go!!!!! So glad you finally got to see that "8" pop up on your scale! Love your advice. I love processed food, and am working on changing that. It is addictive! I discovered "clean fasting" not too long ago. I don't do it perfectly but I think it's great. Wish I had known about it years ago when I was trying intermittent fasting.

I do really think part of our cravings are because our bodies are not getting the nutrients we need from the processed food.
Clean fasting is quite liberating and has helped me a lot.

8st 12.6 this morning
Yesterday I had my usual Sunday breakfast of grilled 1 butchers thin pork sausage, 2 X back bacon, 1 slice black pudding (love the Waitrose ones), fried egg, tomato and mushrooms washed down with proper black coffee. We were both hungry so ate around 9.30 10ish
Wasn't hungry again till late afternoon but was peckish so had small cup chicken bone broth, I'm trying to drink this for the collagen and a small handful of nuts.
Dinner around 6pm was minced venison in a home made Italian style tomato sauce with broccoli and fresh basil served with homemade cauliflower rice.
Cups of tea throughout the day as fancied
No cravings, totally satisfying

Wow, Soprano, congratulations for hitting that milestone and seeing that 8 on your scale! And thank you for sharing your insights. I agree with your thoughts on processed food, it is definitely engineered to be addictive, and it is not good for us.
I also think aiming for great health above is a much more sustainable goal.
Thanks for being a beacon for what is possible when we focus on good habits and whole healthy foods.
