:? I have to admit I am finding it hard this week. It is that time of the month, however, so its probably not surprising.
I gave in to a milkshake last night - instead of small salad because I was trying to avoid having another meal. I have been having big meals again with not the best choices (how ...

 What, no decent bread to go with the soup...you are being good. As long as it fills you up!
I really want to wish you all the best to stick with this plan.
Although I have only been doing this myself for about 6 weeks what has amazed me more than anything is the knowledge that for the first ...

Hi Deb !
To hear you admit to this ( oh dear, MSG - something else to avoid  )
is actually a relief to a newbie like me, probably because perfectionism is what what annoys me about "diets" in general. We live and learn.
My pre-no s diet binges would be finishing whatever I had opened, big bags ...

Halleluja, I've gotten through another day without sweetners. Drinks don't taste quite so horrible now, especially with the occasional teaspoon of sugar . It has definitely helped knowing I would have to confess online if I slipped up.

well, food wise yesterday was a good day, no funny stuff. I guess it,s because it,s a habit now.
But going cold turkey on sweetners - it,s like someone's taken my crutch away.
Deb & CJ - your comments were brilliant and I,m definitely a sucker for empathy!!! The seed for ditching the sweetners was ...

I had kinda noted there was some anti-aspartame thing going on in no-s-land. It is so addictive though and usually encouraged by oyher diets, you tend not to want to face up to any possible detrimental sideeffects.
And as for Splenda, it hasn,t been available here ...

thanks for the encouragement, deb! I couldn't agree more, they're definetely Bozos  but I work with them... It's a case of them not knowing what a weightproblem was if they fell over it and to be fair , my trackrecord for diets is not that good. That's why I'm so pleased to have found something ...

Hello and thank you
:D Hi there, yes another newbie here...I just felt compelled to say a big thank you for giving me at least 4 weeks of guilt free eating, a smaller stomach and a 4 pound weight loss !! I'm well happy ( as my kids would say). I haven't been able to spread the news effectively yet as I'm quite big (16 ...
